T or C Brewery Takes Silver in Santa Fe

BreweryTruth or Consequences, NM:  Truth or Consequences Brewing Company took second place in their category at the Santa Fe Open professional brewer competition with their whiskey barrel-aged Honey Winter Ale. The beer is a dark, fragrant winter warmer sweetened with honey from the Rio Grande Valley and infused with an unmistakable whiskey flavor.

The award-winning beer joins a lineup of several other limited-release bottles ranging in alcohol content from 7.5% to a whopping 15% barrel-aged barleywine, one of the strongest beers currently produced and sold in New Mexico. Available only at their headquarters in downtown T or C, the special bottles go on sale November 23rd and are expected to sell out quickly.

Production Manager John Masterson said of the release, “We chose our biggest beers to barrel-age  because we wanted to create potions for special occasions, heady concoctions that would last for years.”

The young brewery also offers a range of popular house-made beers available year round, as well as limited-release seasonals like Monticello Green Chile Amber, infused with locally grown roasted green chiles from a farm in nearby Monticello, Jardin del Alma.
