MainStreet T or C Hiring new Executive Director

MainStreet Truth or Consequences, a nonprofit charity focused on economic revitalization and historic preservation of downtown Truth or Consequences, recently launched a search for a new Executive Director to lead all operational responsibilities of the organization’s mission. Linda DeMarino, a founding member of the board and Executive Director for the past seven years, is moving on to other opportunities.

MainStreet T or C, the organization behind Healing Waters Plaza, Second Saturday Art Hop, Old-Fashioned Christmas, and the Foch Street Redesign, is an affiliate of New Mexico MainStreet, whose core objective is downtown revitalization and redevelopment and whose mission is to develop local capacity to engage people, rebuild places and revitalize economies resulting in economically thriving downtowns, greater business and employment opportunities and a higher quality of life.

The Executive Director is currently the only paid position within the organization, responsible for implementation of strategies set by the volunteer Board of Directors. The organization is funded by the City of Truth or Consequences, USDA and other granting agencies, and donations and grassroots fundraising activities. Total budget projected for 2021-2022 fiscal year is $85,500.

Potential applicants are encouraged review the detailed job description and apply as soon as possible. Questions may be directed to the board president (and editor of sierracounty.biz) John Masterson at magnafix@gmail.com.
